Greenwich agencies to integrate work

A multi-disciplinary child protection centre is to be developed in Greenwich to integrate the work of different agencies within the borough.

It will house staff from agencies involved in child protection core assessments, section 47 inquiries, and criminal investigations.

A council spokesperson said the project would initially provide a shared base for child protection staff from health and social services.

In the long term, the centre would also house child protection case conferences, training sessions and strategy meetings.
