Just six antisocial behaviour orders were issued in Greater London in the year to September 2002.

Home Office minister Bob Ainsworth said the figure was based on the number issued within the Greater London Magistrates' Courts Association area.

Only 785 Asbos were issued in England and Wales between April 1999 and September 2002, far lower than the 5,000 figure used in the Crime and Disorder Bill's financial costings.
