Embedding Connexions personal advisers in the mental health system could improve services for young people.

This is one of several measures put forward by Connexions in the wake of a review of mental health provision for young people. Others include linking personal advisers to both statutory and voluntary agencies at a primary care level and for advisers to work directly with young people to reduce stigmatisation.

The proposals are put forward in a booklet that focuses on a pilot project being run in the Humber region.
