The government has announced which voluntary organisations are to be granted cash from its direct payments development fund.
Health minister Stephen Ladyman allocated £4.5 million to 45 voluntary organisations for them to build partnerships with local authorities from next month in the first round of grants.
A total of £9 million was made available in October last year for three years for the development of direct payments partnerships.
