Staff of a Mind mental health crisis service in East Yorkshire have hit out at the charity's decision to close its residential unit.

Mind's Hull and East Yorkshire crisis service is being integrated with a new social services-led, community-based crisis resolution service.

Crisis service staff are alarmed that the move will lead to "no residential alternative to hospital admission for service users".

Hull and East Yorkshire Mind said that the new service would be in line with government policy.
