communitycare.co.uk has launched its first e-learning product in
partnership with Topss, the training organisation for social care.
The Care Learning Zone provides training towards care home
induction standards for new workers, and also gives an insight into
a career working in care for school leavers. It includes several
innovations such as a virtual tour of a care home and
‘talking heads’ of people working in care.
The product was devised and put together by Topss. It is a
subscription-only service with a scale of fees depending on the
number of users.

“We are testing the social care market to see if there is an
appetite for e-learning,” says communitycare.co.uk editor
David Callaghan. “We have had more than 200 enquiries in less
than two weeks so we are optimistic it will be
successful.”
