A £15m fund to provide support to parents has been launched by the government.
The fund will go to organisations providing parenting support. It will be managed by the National Family and Parenting Institute. Another £4.9m will go to groups that support couples through the Marriage and Relationship Support Grant programme.
Margaret Hodge, children’s minister, said parents preferred to turn to voluntary organisations for help, and this funding would enable them to provide the appropriate services.
