The lack of affordable rented housing being built by the
Scottish executive could threaten the implementation of the
Homelessness etc (Scotland) Act 2003, housing organisations have
warned.
The Chartered Institute of Housing in Scotland and the Scottish
Council for Single Homeless predicts in a new report that local
authorities will struggle to fulfil their statutory duties to give
every unintentionally homeless household the right to permanent
accommodation by 2012 without increased funding.
