New proposals for an integrated inspection regime for all local public services for children have been published by Ofsted.
The proposals – to bring together inspection, assessment and review arrangements for social care, education, health, police and criminal justice for everyone from age 0 to 19 - are the subject of a formal consultation.
The new arrangements have been devised by the ten inspecorates and commissions which currently inspect services for children and young people.
From next September, all services for children in a local authority will receive a joint area review by multi-disciplinary teams of inspectors using the same criteria.
The consultation runs until 28 February. Read the proposals and give your views at http://www.ofsted.gov.uk/everychildconsultation/
