SHARON COLLINS is new executive director, operational services at disability charity Scope. She is responsible for education, early years, independent living and work. Collins joins from deaf people's charity RNID, where she was executive director of services.

HAROLD BODMER has been appointed as Norfolk Council's director of adult social services. He was previously assistant director for community care services at Norfolk.

DARRYL STEPHENSON is to retire as East Riding of Yorkshire Council's chief executive in September, after 10 years in the top job.


LIZ ATKINS has joined the National Housing Federation, which represents housing associations, as director of strategy and communications. Atkins was formerly head of policy and public affairs at the NSPCC.

Care home operator Four Seasons Health Care has appointed MARGARET CUDMORE as specialist development director and HELEN OWENS as special projects director.
