STAR RATING 4/5
This multi-media training resource aims to enhance the support
given to people with learning difficulties using person-centred
approaches. It is angled towards support workers and managers who
wish to ensure that they are working in an inclusive and
participatory way with the people they provide a service to, writes
Matt Dore.
There are six modules which make up the structure: engaging people
in meaningful activity; enabling rather than doing; and looking at
the person as a real person rather than just a programme.
The use of video clips, worksheets and observation makes this a
very lengthy, yet complete training resource; but not one I feel
you can just dip in and out of.
