Vulnerable young runaways are continuing to fall through the net of available support services.
A study by the Children's Society, finds older runaways, who repeatedly "stay away" from home, are particularly difficult to engage.
The lack of emergency accommodation for under 16-year-olds is identified as a problem and the report calls for more outreach work and better access to projects for young people.
The report by the Children's Society and the University of York, evaluated 19 government-funded young runaway pilot projects. It says the projects have demonstrated their ability to engage with runaways.
