Boy, 14, faces murder charge
A boy of 14 was charged with murder after a youth died in an
apparent stabbing in Wellingborough, Northants.

Mushroom loophole closed
Buyers and sellers of magic mushrooms will no longer be able to
take advantage of a loophole in the law which did not specify that
fresh forms of the fungi were illegal. The class A drug is now
banned in all forms.

Mum and dad take own lives after son’s suicide
It is believed that two parents have committed suicide after
hearing that their son had taken his own life.
Bob and Mary Powell, are thought to not been able to cope with the
news and to have killed themselves immediately.
The community of Taliaris, near Llandeilo in Camarthenshire where
the couple lived is trying to come to terms with the news.

Sister died alone after winning drug addiction
battle
A woman who managed to beat her drug addiction has been found dead
in her flat in Cardiff.
Marie Cummins, 40, was found in her flat screaming for help
surrounded by empty vodka and wine bottles with the main artery in
her leg severed. She later died in hospital.
Mother fights on against son’s
attackers
The mother of a disabled man who died after being attacked at his
home has vowed to try to get stiffer sentences given to his
attackers.
Clint Price 27, from Wrexham, was attacked by Mark Nicholas and
Shane Harper, who received seven and three-year sentences for
grievous bodily harm and actual bodily harm.
The inquest into Prince’s death yesterday found that his
death several months after the attack was “directly
related” to the incident.
