www.there4me.com
STAR RATING: 4/5
Run by: The NSPCC
Who is it for? 12-16 year olds in the UK who are having difficulties
Highlight: The different ways it enables children to get advice anonymously. These include by talking online with an NSPCC advisor or by emailing them and getting a personal reply within 24 hours. There is also an agony aunt section and lots of pages of more general advice covering issues ranging from bullying to bereavement.
With so much heavy stuff present the games section is a welcome addition. As well as providing some light relief it can also be called up at the click of a button to hide the screen if users want to keep their visit secret.
The site is well designed but bizarrely there are no pictures. This is a shame, as they would make the sound advice on offer feel a bit more accessible.
