Disabled children converged on Downing Street last week to protest against a lack of funding for wheelchairs for young people.

They presented a report by charities Whizz-Kidz and Barnardo's claiming the NHS lacked money to give children anything other than the most basic wheelchairs and highlighting the inconsistency in provision around the country.

The report demands an end to the postcode lottery in provision and calls for next year's comprehensive spending review to consider specific funding for children's wheelchairs.
