www.communitycare.co.uk will next week be bringing you immediate coverage from the 14th European Social Services conference in Vienna.
The theme of the conference – Young and Old in a Changing Europe – will look at how health and social services should respond to the changes in society today including an ageing population, changing family patterns and increased migration.
The three-day event will draw on European best practice and look at whether there are models of policy and practice in different European countries that can help shape our thinking about future patterns of community and long-term care including its financing and management.
Speakers include Derek Wanless who will address the conference about the future resourcing of social care in England.
