Amicus members at Stonham, the
Amicus has warned that action is “inevitable” after Stonham management refused to increase their offer of a 2.5 per cent pay rise following a meeting with industrial conciliation service ACAS, even though 90 per cent of union members rejected this in a consultative poll. Amicus wants a 3.75 per cent increase.
Amicus said industrial action, which could begin in September, would include withdrawal of goodwill and working in line with employment contracts, but not strikes. The union has 1,100 members among Stonham’s 2,500 staff.
