Hertfordshire Council has successfully taken action against more than 50 schools for failing to prioritise looked-after children in published admissions arrangements for September 2007.
The Office of the Schools Adjudicator today upheld the council’s objections against 13 schools for failing to comply with regulations established in February to ensure they give priority to looked-after children in admissions arrangements for September 2007.
The adjudicator had already ruled against more than 40 schools in Hertfordshire on the same grounds since July, after the council issued complaints against all of them in May.
