● The school asked Katherine to design her own medical card to give her access to staff toilets and to stay in the library or study centre during breaks.
● At lunch time, Katherine to leave five minutes early so that the dinner ladies can help her choose something healthy.
● Support in lessons for English, maths, science and ICT.
● The school has a group of specially selected and trained listeners available for pupils who find lunch and break times difficult. She is currently waiting for a listener.

● Katherine’s Nan to help her with social skills and independence, such as taking her shopping and giving her extra responsibilities.
● Aunt Chrissie to support with the healthy eating plan, exercise on the running machine and relaxation techniques.
● Rainer Essex, which could not attend the conference, offers a place for Katherine to talk to someone once a week.
● Families in Focus, a local voluntary organisation, supports families of children with disabilities and special needs in Essex. Katherine’s sister, Shannon, and brother, Jason, have days out with the organisation.
