The government recognises there are still concerns about NHS engagement with the Every Child Matters agenda, delegates at the National Children and Adult Services conference heard today.

 

Tom Jeffrey, director general for children, young people and families at the Department for Education and Skills, said both the Dfes and the Department of Health are aware of the situation and "on the case" to try and improve it.

 

Lisa Christensen, director of children's services at Norfolk Council queried why a DH representative was not speaking alongside Jeffrey to discuss children's services.
