A service designed to give families and prisoners time together to allow bonding won social care’s leading prize last month.
At a glittering awards ceremony in London’s West End attended by more than 500 professionals, volunteers and service users, comedy actor and TV presenter Tony Robinson hailed Family Days as the overall winner, presenting a cheque to team members worth £10,000. The overall award was sponsored jointly by the Commission for Social Care Inspection and the Association of Directors of Social Services.
