Palliative and neurological care provider Sue Ryder Care has announced a £40 million programme to modernise and develop its services by 2020.
The charity, which hit the headlines last April, when it claimed councils and primary care trusts had short changed it by £7 million in 2005, said the programme was designed to make it more indispensable to the sector.
Plans include projects to expand its existing neurological care centre in Aberdeen and the creation of a specialist £10 million neuro-rehabilitation service in Cambridgeshire.
