Public sector union Unison has suspended three days of strike action over pay at Surrey Council next week.
Members were due to go out from Tuesday to Thursday of next week in protest against the council’s 2 per cent annual pay offer for 2006-7 and 2007-8.
However, the union said it would consult more fully with members at four mass meetings before deciding how to proceed.
