Graham Robb will become interim chair of the Youth Justice Board tomorrow replacing Rod Morgan, who resigned last month.
An existing board member, Robb works as an educational consultant in issues including pupil behaviour and school leadership.
His contract will run until the end of September 2007. The board is currently advertising for a permanent replacement for Morgan.
