Centrepoint is to lead the first review of youth homelessness in over a decade, it announced today.
The charity and the University of York’s centre for housing policy will examine the scale of the problem nationally and in localities, the profile of young homeless people and the impact of policies on outcomes.
The last major review, the Inquiry into Preventing Youth Homelessness, took place in 1995 and estimated that almost 250,000 young people had experienced homelessness in the UK.
Findings from the new inquiry are expected in October.
