This book is invaluable for anyone who has Asperger's syndrome (AS) or who wants to learn more about this end of the autistic spectrum, writes Beth Billington.

Tony Attwood elegantly combines scientific understanding with experiences from people who have AS, and the result is a book that is both easy to read and informative. He seamlessly weaves together research findings with his extensive clinical experience to provide practical ideas and  suggestions. The book is well structured, so that the reader can dip into the book or read it  from cover to cover as required. The breadth of coverage is impressive, hence the title.

Attwood balances the problems experienced by people with AS when they try to fit into the neuro-typical world with the special abilities and richness that the different world view of AS can bring.

As a professional, I found the extensive section on resources, and the helpful tips throughout  the book to be particularly useful in my own clinical work. I could also relate much of the content to my family experiences and would highly recommend this book to other families.
