Northern Ireland foster carer of the year Angela McAllister and her foster daughter abseilled down the Europa hotel in Belfast this morning to raise funding for charity Fostering Network.
McAllister, from Carrick, was recently interviewed by Community Care about her experiences as a foster carer, following her award, which won her a trip to Paris.
She and her foster daughter joined around 20 other Fostering Network supporters in this morning’s abseil, which will help fund the charity’s services in Northern Ireland, and McAllister said she hoped it would also encourage more people to consider fostering.
