The Department of Health has appointed Wolverhampton Council director of adult and community services Glen Mason to a senior post in its social care directorate, under director general David Behan.
Mason, who previously worked for the DH in the former Social Services Inspectorate, will become director of leadership and performance later this summer.
Following the appointment, Behan said: “I am delighted that a person with Glen’s experience and ability is joining the department to help develop and improve the quality of social care in England.”
