Health and social care provider Community Integrated Care has named Phil Edgington as its new chief executive. Recently a senior consultant for the energy sector and also a non-executive director for the poverty and homelessness charity Emmaus Mossley, Edgington has a wide range of senior executive experience.
Sharon Wheeler, former strategy officer at Coventry Council, took up the new post of financial capability advisor at the Chartered Institute of Housing this month. With a background in the field of homelessness and social exclusion, Wheeler will help people budget and save.
Carol Homden has become the chief executive of Coram Family, a charity working to support young people in care and in the community who have experienced trauma, are vulnerable, or are at risk. Homden moves from The Prince's Trust, where she was commercial director.
Lynne Berry is set to quit the General Social Care Council, where she has held the post of chief executive for the past six years. Berry is leaving to become chief executive of the WRVS, a charity providing a range of services for older people at home and in the community.
Councillor Wendy Dwyer is to become the new chair of Lancashire Council. She has previously used her council work to promote the work of homelessness organisations.
