Social care charity Turning Point has been given £15.2m to develop five purpose-built, community based residential centres for people with complex needs.
The centres, which will be built in Yorkshire, the West Midlands, the North East and the North West, will provide services for people including those who have a mental illness, learning disability or personality disorder.
The majority of the cash, £10.2m, will come from Furturebuilders England, the government-backed funding offering support and investment to voluntary sector organisations to deliver better public services.
