A mother was arrested yesterday in connection with the murder of her two-year-old daughter in Barking, east London.
A Scotland Yard spokesperson confirmed that the woman, in her 20s, was arrested while in hospital in a stable condition.
Barking and Dagenham Council launched a serious case review into the case last week after the two-year-old was found stabbed to death and her mother seriously injured at their flat in Barking.
