A man has been charged with the murder of two Leicester nursing home residents, who were found dead in the room that they shared last week.
Nathan Mann, 19, of Crown Fields, Leicester, was remanded in custody at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Saturday, charged with murdering Rashni Badiani, 56, and Radhaben Chauhan, 72.
The two women were found dead last Wednesday at Hayes Park Nursing Home in Leicester.
Chauhan had lived at the home since December 2004 and Badiani since August this year.
In a statement, Chauhan's family paid tribute to a "beautiful, bright and warm person". They added: "We cannot believe what has happened. We are still trying to come to terms with the fact that we will never get to see that beloved smile again."
