Skills for Care is looking for nominations from individuals and organisations for its annual Accolades awards for workforce development in social care.
For the first time this year, the Accolades will include an award for adult service users who employ their own staff, one of nine adult services categories among the 12 on offer. Of the other three, two cover children's services while the third - the most innovative model of practice learning for social work students - spans both sectors.
Last year, Bracknell Forest Council triumphed in the winner of winners category for their service for keeping older people in their own homes rather than being referred to hospital.
Skills for Care is accepting entries until 2 May 2008.
