A social worker from London has been banned from the profession after forming an “inappropriate” relationship with the father of a young person on the child protection register.
Virginia Leckie also failed to tell her employers at Hounslow Council about the relationship, according to the General Social Care Council.
Leckie came into contact with the man after being allocated as the social worker to his child.
Conflict of interest
A statement from the GSCC added that Leckie had “failed to acknowledge the depth of the conflict of interest and dishonesty of her actions”.
