Honouring the best

writes Mike Broad

Twenty five fantastic teams were recognised at Community Care's inaugural Excellence Network in May.

The Excellence Network is a new honours programme that recognises innovative practice and shares it with the whole of social care.

All 25 recognised teams are demonstrating real passion and commitment and have implemented progressive ways of working. The five categories were user involvement, self-directed care, early intervention, partnership working and training and development.

We also celebrated the achievements of 10 individuals - our Community Care Champions - who have consistently gone beyond the call of duty.

All the learning points from these teams and projects - and from many more - can be accessed through our free good practice database.
