Charities Rainer and Crime Concern today announced they will merge to form a new organisation promising to reach 34,000 young people in over 150 communities.
The new charity will combine Rainer's work in supporting disadvantaged young people with Crime Concern's role in tackling crime and the fear of crime through fostering opportunities for disadvantaged people.
The new charity - which will initially be known as Rainer Crime Concern - will officially come into existence on 1 July and will be headed by Rainer chief executive Joyce Moseley. It will set out a new vision and name towards the end of the year.
