This site from the reliable independent researchers Lemos & Crane bills itself as a one-stop practitioner resource for supporting victims and dealing with perpetrators of racial harassment. A tall order for a small site but it rises to the challenge, writes Graham Hopkins.

As well as providing excellent policy and procedural documents, it has digests of relevant guidance and a monthly e-newsletter. However, its strength is in its network capability. Through concise "action examples" from members (for example, how West Midlands police's partnership working responded to the growing number of racist attacks on asylum seekers on a problem housing estate) and the message board (requests for help and advice), sites like this can make a difference.

There is also a "self-evaluation performance framework" that invites members to assess their own organisation's work. However, it favours the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) approach - and launches into bamboozling jargon without so much as a by your leave.

I have one other quibble with this otherwise efficient, effective and simple to use site. As a race site, the question of colour naturally came strongly to my mind: why, oh why the grey and orange?
