Slough Borough Council is caring for 10 children rescued by police in raids across the area yesterday morning.

Officers arrested 25 people for a range of offences after searching 17 addresses in Slough.

Commander Steve Allen said: "With promises of a financial return, some poor families surrender their children who are subsequently forced to commit crime. The operation is about us targeting those behind organised crime networks and the criminal exploitation of children."
