The Charity Commission has appointed David Locke as its new director of charity services. Locke will lead the charity services team, which provides services to the 190,000 charities registered in England and Wales.
Pamela Chesters has been announced as the new chair of children's charity NCH. She has been chair designate since September 2006, and officially took up her new post this month, taking over from Gordon Edington. She also chairs the Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust and the English Churches Housing Group.
