Six out of 10 visitors to Community Care’s website believe Edinburgh social work director Les McEwan should not have resigned over his department’s handling of the Caleb Ness case.

McEwan resigned after an inquiry report criticised the way social workers acted before the 11-week-old boy was killed by his father.
