Bridging the gap
Venue:
ORT House conference centre
Description
This is the first annual conference of Advances in Mental Health and Learning Disabilities. The journal aims to support professionals in delivering high-quality and evidence-based practice to people with learning disabilities who have additional mental health needs, and provides a forum for the debate of current issues and opinions. This conference will highlight the pressing needs of people who tend to fall through the gaps between services. These include people with a history of offending behaviour, people with borderline intellectual functioning and people with autistic spectrum disorders. The day will provide participants with an opportunity to learn more about the issues, set them in a policy context and to debate appropriate service responses. Key themes The conference will explore: meeting the needs of people who are falling between services working in partnership putting policy into practice.
