This event will explore what makes a voluntary group really effective. Aimed at volunteer members of community groups working outdoors or on environmental projects, the day should provide ideas to revitalise existing groups or to start new groups off in the right direction. The event will cover getting and keeping new members, building partnerships, publicity and promotion, group organisation, running productive meetings, action planning, and the essentials of a constitution.
