‘The Care Leaver’s Association (CLA) is a national charity run by care leavers, for care leavers. The organization provides advice and information on a range of issues affecting care leavers and works to combat negative public perceptions of, and improve services for, care leavers. The CLA is a membership organization, open to any care experienced person over the age of 18. It provides an arena in which care leavers can share experiences, network and work together to improve the care system for future generations. It runs two websites, www.careleavers.com and www.careleaversreunited.com, the latter of which allows care leavers reunite with friends, social workers and carers from their time in care.’
