The Care Quality Commission is polling home care users and their families on their experiences of services to inform its review of the sector.
The regulator has launched two surveys - one for service users and one for clients' family members - to inform its current inspection programme of 250 home care services and a subsequent national report on the sector.
Unlike previous inspections of home care, the latest programme is designed to be much more informed by the views and experiences of service users. Alongside the surveys, the CQC will be sending questionnaires to service users, conducting telephone interviews and visiting clients in their homes if they consent.
The surveys are open until the end of August.
