Does a Mediterranean diet lower risk of depression?

Recent research suggests an association between the two.
Apparently the sample for the study was people living in Spain who adhered to a greater or lesser extent to the Med diet of vegetables, fruit and fish.

There may have been other relevant factors but adopting a Med diet seems a bit of a no-risk strategy - it's already been identified as good for your physical health and it tastes good.
