Scottish Borders Council social work director Andrew Lowe had his one hour of glory on the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square on Sunday.

Using the name Andrew Corden, he used his time to read out excerpts of his favourite pieces of oratory from history on the theme of social justice. Pitt the Younger, Oliver Cromwell and the Peasants' Revolt all get a mention along with more modern concerns.
You can watch the full video here and it really is well worth watching. Sporting a natty tweed suit, Lowe puts his all into it, injecting a real theatricality.
There are also some interesting comments below, my favourite of which says:
Read Andrew's own views: my magical hour on the plinth
Cross between old testicle prophet and tweedy sage! Monumental which is appropriate for a plinth! I specially liked the last 7 or so minutes (I don't mean the bit while you were waiting to get off!). Congrats.
