There's a really good piece in the Guardian about the Gary McKinnon case the decision by Alan Johnson to allow him to stand trial in the US.
McKinnon has Asperger's syndrome and is accused of hacking into US military computers.
McKinnon broke the law, he admitted computer misuse and he should be tried. But he has the right to be tried fairly, by a court that will take into consideration all his conditions. And that is not likely to happen if he is extradited to US, judging by its track record when it comes to trial and conviction of people with mental health problems.
