Photos of abandoned mental health hospitals

There are some beautiful and haunting photos of abandoned mental health hospitals in the New York Times.
They are by a photographer called Christopher Payne and you can see a slideshow of a few more of the photos here.

Things like the patient suitcases, toothbrushes and straitjackets in pretty pastel colours are particularly disturbing.
