Taunton web design company owner Karl Winn has sent The Sun into outrage overdrive by suggesting he would rather employ a paedophile than a former member of the armed forces, presumably because of his opposition to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Obviously we will have to trust The Sun that he is a former social worker (he's not on the GSCC register but then he may have been a social worker a long time ago and when have The Sun ever got anything wrong?) but I wonder why they thought it worth mentioning? Perhaps it fits rather nicely with their general view of the world.
Mr Winn's comments seem ill-advised.
My own view, for what it's worth, is that our service personnel are putting their lives on the line on behalf of a democratic government which we elected, so it hardly seems fair to discriminate against them for it.

Do you consider the fact he stated those views as being 'ill-advised' or that the comments themselves are 'ill-advised'?
The kind of bloke like that Norman kember (IIRC), who will happily slag off and resent the people who would give up their lives for his.
Classic left-wing thought process of all our enemies are good and we are all bad.
