The Winston Smith blog, written by an anonymous project/support worker has been longlisted for the Orwell Prize 2010.

Congratulations to them - I shall stick it on my feed.

I wonder if you have actually read this blog before recommending it. The derogatory manner in which the writer discusses his clients is a disgrace.

Hi Jim, thanks for your comment. I didn't recommend it, I just pointed out that it had been shortlisted for an award. I guess if you have problems with what he says in his posts you could let him know via his comments.

You didn't simply point out that he had been shortlisted, you congratulated him.

I am not in the habit of congratulating the performance of people that I do not approve of. Your congratulations certianly appears to me to be tacit approval of a blog that is a disgrace to care workers

At a time when Community Care is trying to improve the profile of Social Work, why promote the views of someone who has litte regard for the profession.
